How to register your Meta Quest headset?
Follow these 4 steps to set up your Meta Quest and start using SingularisVR in your organization.
Go to Meta Horizon Developer and press Sign Up or Registrarse.
Select the Email, we recommend using a unique email address for each device.
Enter your name, date of birth, and password.
Important: Save your password.
A 6-digit code will be sent to your email. Copy and paste it to confirm.
Complete your profile setup at Meta Horizon Developer.
Set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) via SMS. You will receive a 6-digit code; copy and enter it to confirm.
Now, enter your organization's name or legal entity name. (Ex: My Company LLC).
Success! Your account is now set up.
Important: Before you begin, factory reset your Meta Quest headset.
Turn on your Meta Quest and ensure it has sufficient battery life.
Have both controllers ready with their batteries installed.
Put on your Meta Quest headset and follow the on-screen instructions step by step.
Once connected to the internet, Meta will begin downloading necessary components. This may take a few minutes, and your headset might restart during the process (you will see a progress bar at the top of the screen).
Important: Do not proceed with the Meta tutorial. If you see an on-screen message to set up accessibility or a large 'Welcome' button, this is where you should set aside your Meta Quest and proceed to the next step of the tutorial.
Download the Meta Horizon app on your smartphone; you can find it in the Play Store and App Store.
Log in with the account you created on Step 1.
Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your smartphone and keep the Meta Quest nearby.
Select the pair your headset.
Select the Wifi option and enter the 5-digit code.
Then, in the app, select headset configuration and go to 'Developer Mode' and turn it on.
Important:Your Meta Quest should remain where we left off in the previous step, do not start the Meta tutorial.
Download our application installers to enroll your device.
Install the application on your computer and open it.
If you encounter issues opening the application in MacOs, run the following command in the terminal:xattr -d com.apple.quarantine/Applications/SingularisXR.app
Connect the headset to your computer via USB cable (referential video here).
When you connect your Meta Quest to the computer, you will see this message. You must press the button Always allow from this computer.
Open the previously installed application.
Log in with the credentials for SingularisVR.
Name your headset to distinguish it from others.
Press the button start and wait until it is 100% complete.
Your Meta Quest is now successfully registered.
Verify that your device now appears in your dashboard.
Congratulations!! You are all set to use the Meta Quest and enjoy your experiences with SingularisVR.
